I don't have fabfilter, it have better UI for mid/side than izotope, and oversampling options. There's soft saturation button, I like it's sound (easier to use in neutron because they don't hide it in options)įruity doesn't have baxandall, vintage shelves, and takes more clicks to do same things. But ozone have mid/side and zero latency mode (useful for some aux channels or multi-band effects) I like neutron over ozone in mix, because of channel strip and sidechain in dynamic eq, few other features like gate and transient shaper. Even maximizer can be used for distorted sound (try different IRC modes and character speed) but some of these may have too much latency and CPU use. Yes it can, exciter is good saturator, vintage limiter/compressor could be used as track compressor.
